ASD Handling & Towing course is a training program for maritime professionals who want to learn how to operate and maneuver azimuth stern drive (ASD) vessels safely and efficiently. The course covers the principles of ASD vessel design, propulsion and mechanical systems, and maneuvering characteristics, as well as practical exercises on simulators. It also teaches the skills and techniques required for towing operations and safe handling in confined waters and around obstacles. The course is suitable for deck officers who have little or no experience with ASD-equipped vessels, as well as those who want to refresh or enhance their operational skills. The course includes a downloadable ASD vessel simulator for hands-on practice, along with guided practice sessions to support skill development and operational confidence.
