The course is an essential training program mandated for all seafarers under the STCW regulation A-VI/6, table A-VI/6-1. It is designed to equip maritime professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to bolster security aboard vessels. Upon successful completion, participants will possess a keen awareness of potential security threats in the maritime environment. They will be adept at identifying these threats and taking suitable action to mitigate them. This proactive approach to security is critical in maintaining the safety of the ship’s crew, passengers, and cargo.
